Dr. Anto Mohsin
Dr. Anto Mohsin is the faculty mentor and producer of the Science Journal podcast. He teaches Science and Technology Studies courses at Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q). Some of the podcast series he likes listening to include the 99% Invisible and NPR Throughline. He was one of the guests for the Everyday Energy Podcast , a part of the the GUQ CIRS’s Energy Humanities project.
Asmae Nakib
Asmae Nakib is a senior at NU-Q majoring in Journalism and Strategic Communications. Asmae is the project manager of Science Journal. Coming from Morocco and having an educational background in sciences, she enjoys writing, editing, and doing voice-overs. She has worked as a staff reporter for Morocco World News, and the Daily Q, and CNN Arabic. In her spare time, Asmae enjoys listening to music and singing.
Imane Bour
Imane Bour is a sophomore at NU-Q majoring in Journalism and Strategic Communication. For the past two years, Imane has studied intensive economics and sciences in a preparatory school. In her free time, she likes to read, journal, and listen to music.
Shaheer Liaqat
Shaheer is a junior at GU-Q majoring in International Economics. He joins Science Journal as an investigative reporter and sound engineer. Shaheer spends his spare time watching anime, playing retro video games on his PS2 and poring over Ken Follet novels. He finds it difficult to smile for photographs but is an all-round good guy.
Russell Niglo Adzedu
Russell is a student from Accra, Ghana. He has not declared a major yet, but is strongly interested in contemporary literature. Russell is super excited to be serving as a contributor to the Science Journal Podcast by co-hosting episodes. When not listening to or working on podcasts, Russell’s favorite things to do are reading fan fiction and watching WWE.

Elissa Mefleh
Elissa Mefleh is a Lebanese Communication graduate from Northwestern University in Qatar with a certificate in Strategic Communications. Elissa was the project manager of Science Journal where she collaborates with the team to run the project. In her free time, Elissa enjoys photography, art, and science. In the past, she has conducted research on COVID-19 reporting across several news organizations.
Ahmed Jassim
Ahmed Jassim is a communications senior at NU-Q. He is in charge of editing the podcast episodes and artworks. Prime interest being in the field of animation and videography, Jassim spends most of his spare time cruising around the city.
Nadia Al Hinai
Nadia Al Hinai is a Journalism and Strategic Communication student that is interested in communicating information to people in the most strategic and impactful way possible. Nadia believes that everyone should have access to information and logistical barriers should not be an issue. In her free time, Nadia enjoys watching documentaries and making coffee.
Hakem Al-Meqdad
Hakem Al-Meqdad is a senior at NU-Q majoring in Media and Technology. His role in the Science Journal podcast is being a co-host and helping with overall aspects of the project. Besides academia, Hakem loves playing sports.
